Happy New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year, that is.

2006 (or, by the Chinese calendar, 4703) is the Year of the Dog.

China goes to the dogs.

So to everyone out there, Kung hei fat choi! (Congratulations and be prosperous!)

I heard a segment on NPR the other day about how the Chinese are trying to do some kind of PR campaign for dogs to stop people from eating them.

I can't find it now, but they apparently showed how dogs can be trained, how affectionate they are, and had puppy playtime for kids.
